Wolford College School of Nurse Anesthesia is accepting applications for admission. Early application is encouraged. Please read through the admissions criteria carefully and go through the checklist below. Please contact Dr. Keri Ortega or by phone (239) 513-1135 with any questions. Make sure to review the Office of the Registrar for more admission information.

Admissions Checklist:

  • Completed Application
  • Application fee ($50.00 money order or cashiers check)
  • **Official transcripts from all academic institutions attended
  • Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) or (MS) from a Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) accredited program.
  • Photocopy of (re)certification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Re-Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
  • Three recommendations (on Wolford College form)
    • Current clinical supervisor required
    • Medical professional who has observed the applicant clinically
    • Prior educational faculty or additional Medical professional
  • Current CV
  • “Personal Purpose Statement” addressing the following areas (limit to 2 double spaced typed pages in 12 point Times Roman font in APA format):
    • Reasons for seeking this educational opportunity (DNAP degree)
    • Potential areas of study for capstone project – (this could be a practice
      improvement project, clinical management issue in an area of clinical significance and relevance).
    • Prior life/work experience that will be useful in attaining the DNAP
    • How the DNAP will assist the applicant in attaining career goals.
    • Description of the applicant’s clinical practice which will include clinical practice setting, general description of the types and numbers of anesthesia cases per month.
  • Photocopy (if permitted) of current and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse/ARNP
  • Drivers license copy – Current, valid unrestricted drivers license from one jurisdiction of the United States
  • TOEFL score of 550 (paper based) or 213 (computer based) for international students
