A Message from the President and CEO

presidents_messageI am honored to have recently been appointed the President and CEO of Wolford College and am very excited to be embarking on day to day interaction with students, faculty, alumni, administration and staff. Wolford College and all those associated with it, are committed to academic excellence, innovation, and collaboration to ensure Wolford students gain the competencies and skills necessary for life and work as some of the country’s best CRNAs.

To that end, in 2015, Wolford College’s Strategic Plan for the years 2015-2017 was approved and implemented. This plan provides a map of Wolford College’s goals for the next two years. It contains 3 initiatives, 16 strategies, and 71 specific actions, with the 3 initiatives outlined.

  1. Achieve Initial Accreditation with the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges (SACSCOC)
  2. Expand and Enhance Campus Facilities and Resources
  3. Continually Improve College Processes and Operations

The strategic plan gives specific direction to Wolford College administration, faculty, and staff to elevate Wolford College’s current status and continue its path as stated in its vision statement which is that Wolford College aspires to remain a national leader that promotes transformation of lives through a high quality educational approach that is innovative, rigorous, and collaborative.

The three initiatives that constitute this plan were designed to respond to the current and upcoming needs of the students through focused strategies and specific actions. In addition, some content includes initiatives and actions specifically intended to address and respond to the SACSCOC Core Requirements and Standards.

The first initiative in this plan is to set SACSCOC accreditation application process as a top priority of Wolford College. Administration, faculty and staff recognize that the accreditation process will strengthen the academic excellence Wolford College provides, which will in turn ensure Wolford College fulfills its mission of making student success its priority.

The second initiative is to expand campus facilities and resources to enhance the learning experience for the students and increase their ability for success.

The third initiative continues to assess Wolford College planning and operation methods to make certain that they address the new vision for the future and yet fulfill the mission of Wolford College to make student success its priority.

Wolford College is not even one year into the strategic plan and already has completed or is in the process of completing a substantial number of the 71 specific actions. I look forward to keeping you updated on the progress of Wolford College.
